here's a real review.

because as an artist myself, i respect the arts that i can't do myself the most.

It's a great track to begin with. the sampling you did, and the bassline throughout the entire song is beautiful. people don't realise that the correct type of bassline can literally relax your entire mind and body. that's what i truely look for in dubstep.

I love the dirtier end of the dubstep genre, but my most favorite end is the mix between Ambient and Dubstep, and you've achieved both ends of the spectrum with this.

the piano in the beginning introduces the progressive feel to the entire track, and that violin in there towards the end is a great touch, it works seamlessly with the entire song itself. this track progresses very slowly, and that's probably why people are bombing it, no patience to hear the entire masterpiece itself.

the song itself is very dramatic. the bassline that hits in the first quarter brings in "fresh air" to keep interest. it's a great touch, i don't see a whole lot that can possibly improve on this, maybe some type of longer bassline through it somehwhere distant in the background or something. i'm not a music-maker.

rated 5/5 and 10/10 because of what's stated above.

in conclusion, the feel of the entire track is very lucid. keep it up, you did a great job!

haywirehaywire responds:

Thanks a lot afro, great review.

i love a new sound

dubstep needs more new sounds to it besides a generic "wobble" in the background. creating a new sound to a genre full of these.. expectations of generic bassdrops, makes the people who bring a new sound to it a pioneer.

this is right up next to mt. eden's work. this is an excelent track, keep it up!

IDReaper responds:

Wow, thank you! =D Glad you thought it was so good.

first review

this is pretty good. i'd only expect to hear this stuff from someone like mt. eden.

you did a good job, keep it up yo.

only a few are brave enough to actually attempt ambient dubstep, and you did it pretty damn well. congrats!

yeajimmiboi responds:

Thanks a lot bro! :D

that bassdrop holy DAMN that was wicked sick. good job!

mr-jazzman responds:

Haha wait till you hear some of the drops I've been experimenting with recently! And FiendO's got some wicked drops himself now too, go check em out! =D Thanks for the review man!

This is ambient PLUS dubstep and its absolutely amazing. Somebody FINALLY did it!

Kudos to you, this is taking two of my personal favorite genres and making sweet sweet love to my ears with them.

thecokebitch responds:

=P thanks so much! But nahhhh, its not thaat great....

all hail Ambient King Semaphore.

this captures Winter really well, and every song of yours i listen to, the experience just gets better and better.

Good job, and keep up the good work bro.

Semaphore responds:

I will =)

I have still many emotions in me I want to transfer in songs =)

thank you very much theafro

a little shakey

this doesn't sound exactly like dubstep, but i know it is. the bassline it has is just different than others, its not one of those phat rock-your-melon basslines.

this really is good, but the frequency of the bass seems to be a bit to high, doesnt sound like bass, just some slow type of sine/synth.

though i didn't let that deter me from enjoying the song, this is a good song. hit up a lower bassline and see how that works :)

Very good job otherwise. Every dubstep artist has their own style and what they like to hear, so if this is your style, stick to it. It does sound good.

Breed responds:

Thanks for the review theafro.

The bassline sits at a low-mid fundamental intentionally. This is to let the power of the sub-kick come through fully on the track giving it a more powerful percussion background. This also allows speakers of all types to effectively hear the bassline as apposed to sitting it too low and restricting the songs potential to listeners with better equipment. I might add that this track still drops really hard on a system with a sub.
Anyways I respect your critique and maybe I can investigate a wee bit of lower end EQ work. Thanks again.

Cheers!

outstanding

this kind of dubstep makes sweet sex to my ears.

love it!

mr-jazzman responds:

Oh God, yes this does! My bro and I just listened to it my bro's car - which has a tricked out sound system - and the bass just sounded...epic lol. I dunno what else to say, other than that I felt like I was listening to someone else's stuff (and then I remembered, I made it lol!). I'm really glad you loved it man, it's my favorite song out of all the ones I've produced! I promise to make more dubstep like this in the same vein! =)

what you need

to sound like him, the vocals need to be drawn out more, and the volume of them needs to blend in a lot more. then you're set.

ChristianMossuto responds:

thanks for the review, i will work on it ^^

what cloud are you on, man?!

TEN TEN TEN TEN TEN! this is a BANGIN ambient song. whatever those vocals are in the background, good choice, man. i'm gettin chills, yo!

ChristianMossuto responds:

Thanks for the review, and thanks for the positive feedback, means lots and will keep me going.

Afro on yo heaaaaaaad!
